Cancer Sucks - so I walk 60 miles

Cancer sucks.

Duh.

Here's what I am doing to stop cancer... what are you doing??

In 2007 my dad died from Esophageal cancer.
In 2008 my mom died from complications of COPD

In 2009 I walked in my first Susan G. Komen 3 day for the cure.

In 2011 I did it again
In 2012 I did it again and earned my 3-peat button.
In 2012 I participated in my first Race for the Cure with Copilot
In 2013 - guess what you got it, I am doing it again.
In 2013 I am also participating in my second Race for the Cure, Relay for Life, and Childrens Can

Here are some posts to highlight my adventures… But before you go clicking away, let me ask you this, how can you help cancer awareness?

See I know there is a stigma with the whole SGK/Planned Parenthood and how much money actually goes to finding a cure. I get that. And here is my post for a rebuttal (well there are 2)
My 10 cents for your 2 cents

But all opinions aside, there are SO many other cancer awareness avenues, you don't have to support SGK, but you have to do something.
American Cancer Society puts on Relay for Life events EVERYWHERE, find one, donate, or walk.

My point - do something to raise awareness, even if it's committing to your own self-checking every month, or a customized license plate, or a prayer - those are free. Do something, get in action to make a difference. When you leave this earth, what legacy will you leave behind?

Now for the highlight reel:

So there you have it… Take action. Do something.
